Ashley and Jason chose to have a unique, small wedding reception in Austin with their friends. This took place the following month after their intimate elopement around Austin. They celebrated one evening at Patrizi’s outdoor patio and enjoyed their amazing homemade pasta. The next evening, they met at The Alamo’s Barrel O’ Fun for a mind-blowing magician act and karaoke! Having a more casual wedding celebration was something they decided would suit them best as a couple. It was important for them to feel like they could relax while having a memorable experience with their close friends. This, they absolutely did, and we’re so excited to share how their weekend went.

Day One At Patrizi’s

Day one was a celebration at Patrizi’s in Austin where they enjoyed the evening on the outside patio of the restaurant. This space felt extra dreamy with the mist fans going off and spring florals surrounding the edges of the patio. Friends welcomed each other with the biggest smiles and hugs. Some of them live local while others travelled in for this weekend of celebration. Patrizi’s began as a family establishment in 1940, bringing them together through their Italian heritage. The family-centered dining experience carries through their locations, so what better way to celebrate a small wedding reception in Austin.

Day Two at Barrel O’ Fun at Alamo Drafthouse in Mueller

After an evening of hanging out at Patrizi’s, everyone went home and rejoined the next day at Barrel O’ Fun at Alamo Drafthouse in Mueller. This space is a hidden gem in Austin, where there are often events such as trivia taking place. When Jason and Ashley told us they wanted to have a magician perform before an evening of Karaoke, we got so excited! Celebrating this way definitely guarantees your wedding celebration will be fully saturated with a unique experience. Brad Henderson, a magician and mentalist, performed one of the most unique and mind-blowing acts we have ever seen. It was incredible to witness and photograph the couple and their friends’ reactions!

Celebrating Your Wedding At Barrel O’ Fun
