We started Ross and Lauren’s engagement session at Via313 in Austin and then went to one of our favorite nature spots down from our apartment. These two are from Houston and are having their wedding in Austin next year and we can’t wait! Bradley and I are also obsessed with Via313 so we were pretty thrilled when they wanted to have their session start here. We absolutely love when our couples want to customize their session to their daily lives and what they love.

Ross and Lauren met on Tinder but they told us they had an incredibly boring conversation. So really Ross schemed with a friend to have him and Lauren meet and then they connected! Here is their proposal story which is wonderful. “It was not a surprise, but only because I can read Ross like a book. He “surprised” me with a gift of a bike, then just casually recommended we take our bikes out for a nice bike ride and picnic in a park on Buffalo Bayou in Houston. A true sign that I knew is when I curled my hair for a bike ride… After a short ride, we pulled out the blanket, ate some chips and guac while Ross looked around frantically for the photographer he’d hired. Then, he read a poem he wrote for me for the occasion (very cheesy, a little dirty) and popped the question!”

They both don’t really do surprises so when Lauren asked Ross to pull into Via313 on the way to the engagement session he was really confused. Ross was also very hungry and it worked out perfectly starting the engagement session at the restaurant. It was a joy connecting with these two over this evening and happy to share a few favorites.
