Elegant Spring Styled Bridal Session at Cypress Valley Event Center

Amberley of Blue Boot Events put on an elegant spring styled bridal session at Cypress Valley Event Center. Bradley and I were thrilled to be a part of this collaboration. Here is what Amberley has to say about the styling and planning.

Texture + Color

One of two main design goals for this event is to bring as much texture variety as possible. We combined every hard texture with something soft and elegant. Stone succulent pots on top the velvet linens. Rough wheat stems intertwined with lush roses. Frayed hemstitch napkins and brushed gold flatware paired with a lace doily and wood charger. Every combination was purposeful and selected based off a yin and yang relationship.

The second design focus was breaking up all the lush natural greenery the venue has to offer with bold colors. We really wanted to compliment everything this amazing venue has to offer, rather than compete against its features. Going with shades of deep red, and purple allowed us to tie together the romantic look we were going for while still being bold! A glass of red wine, sparkling rose, and strawberry infused water brought color into the beverage display that acts for a purpose and compliments the colorful garland. The A-line ivory lace gown was perfect to pair with the natural and romantic vibes. It also allowed that bold bouquet to really pop, and adding the draping linen ribbon mimics the romantic décor and flow of the gown.

Fun Factors

Every event may have the typical photos of stationary, signage, and tiny details. We thought, “where could we transfer that budget into something that would have more of an impact, and bring in more emotion?” Turns out a traveling petting zoo and a super bold bridal shot was the answer! Our bride loved playing with these bunnies and bearded dragon during the shoot. All the smiles are so natural and truly in the moment. Using the smoke bombs gave us two very different moods; fun and frivolous, then mystical and wondrous. These two elements were essential to making our shoot memorable and unique.
