Regina and Daniel are the sweetest couple and we loved photographing their outdoor Austin engagement session this fall. We photographed them at Mckinney Falls State Park which is one of our favorites. Daniel and Regina met at a Christmas party back in 2018. They hit it off but both thought they were each there with someone else. After meeting two more times at a Shark’s game and movie night the stars continued to align. In June of 2019 their friend invited them to her dance recital where they spent the whole afternoon hanging out and getting to know each other.

Now here is how their proposal happened. Daniel decided to move to Austin to be closer to Regina. She flew up to California where he resided to road trip with him to Austin. They were nearing the Texas state line and he pulled off this dirt road to find the NM/TX border. Regina said it was like Pawnee and Eagleton from Parks and Rec. She couldn’t understand why the border was so important for Daniel to find. After ending up at the “Texas Welcome Center” which she says was more like a rest stop it happened. Daniel walked her over to the massive Texas star and Daniel said, “I never wanted to leave  California for anyone until I met you.” Regina blacked out and couldn’t remember much except feeling a lot of peace, joy, and of course saying yet. Once they got to El Paso they celebrated with tacos!
