Wedding at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center – Dan and Jessica
Jessica and Dan have a cute and quirky story about how they met and what attracted them to each other. Here is their story:
“We met on September 14th, 2012. I remember it vividly. I was out on Rainey Street at Clive Bar with a bunch of girlfriends and spotted Dan across the bar. That jawline. He was with a group of friends. As the evening progressed, we continued to ogle them and they continued to ignore us and play darts, drink beer, and be bros. Finally after what felt like ages of shamelessly inching closer to them, like a good wing woman should, Mariza swooped into the pack of apathetic guys and dropped the following line: “so you guys got any good jokes?”
Thankfully they laughed and I quickly inserted myself into the conversation. Immediately Dan and I started chatting, most likely about food and coffee. We exchanged numbers, met up the next evening and from that day on we spent every weekend together despite the fact that Dan lived over 200 miles away in Corpus Christi. He’d make the drive up every Friday and then head back Monday and we had the best time falling in love with each other and Austin during those first 6 months.”
During their wedding, they still gave each other that look that felt like they met that first day at the Clive Bar. There is this sincere and sweet attraction they have towards each other that can’t be missed. These two were a pleasure working with and their wedding day was absolutely everything to us. Their family and friends welcomed us in like their own. The heartfelt ceremony and toasts throughout the day had me feeling so many emotions as I learned more about these two. We are so happy and thankful they let us be a part of it.
