Melannie and Nat’s McKinney Falls engagement session was an absolute blast. Bradley and I have known Nathaniel for awhile and have been friends with him for years. We were so thrilled when him and Mel reached out to us shortly after their proposal. During the time we scheduled the session it kept raining and we needed to postpone their session. When we finally got to photograph the session the park was empty with another chance of rain but the light was perfect and it only began to rain when we finished. Getting to explore McKinney Fall’s when it’s empty is honestly the best!

Here is their proposal story in Melannie’s words:

“I invited him to come over seas to the Philippines for my Grandmothers birthday party. We ended up taking a small side trip the a small island called Batanes to visit some other family members and get away for a bit. During one of the tours during a really tough hike, we ended up at a very high cliff like area where the waves were crashing and we just stood there taking it all in. After I had taken a few photos, I turned around and he was on one knee proposing! He simply asked “Will you marry me?” And of course I said yes. It was entirely a surprise.”

These two have such vibrant personalities that compliment each other so well. They both have a love that is loud and confident within each other. Throughout the session we used some prompts to carry them through their feelings and excitement and to talk about their relationship.
