One Eleven East NYE Wedding Hutto - Austin Wedding Photographer

We love photographing NYE wedding’s and Paige and Evan’s is one for the books! We loved celebrating their One Eleven East NYE wedding in Hutto this last year. Originally their first photographer fell through and they were scrambling to find another one. They came across our account on Instagram and we couldn’t be more grateful. We met up with them a couple times before the wedding and immediately became friends with these two. It’s pretty incredible sometimes how the universe just connects you to the right people. Not only do we adore these two but we love how intentional Paige and Evan are. Here is their story in Paige’s words.

“Evan and I met in high school but we’re never friends or in the same circle in any way. In fact I’m 100% sure he was into one of my friends. After he graduated I was still in my senior year of high school and just out of a relationship that was as toxic as nuclear waste. I was flailing pretty much and told myself I’d just do my best to focus and look ahead. During this time my best friend (and later maid of honor) was sort of living with me, we did pretty much everything together.

One day she said to me ‘if one more male messages me trying to get with you, I’m just giving up’, I was like dude there’s no way, who is asking. She couldn’t remember the last name but she remember the guys name was Evan. I only knew of two, one who was dating some other girl, and one who used to be into an old friend. Both did not make sense. So logically I messaged the one I knew was single, because I ain’t no home wrecker. So it was Evan Emmerich I messaged and surprisingly we hit it off pretty quick and I had to hop off of Facebook to go get my brother from school so I shot him my number, not really expecting much and left it at that. This man immediately texted me, and the rest is pretty much history!

Two weeks later he took me on our first date to taco freaking bell and a hookah lounge that all the cool kids used to go to on the weekends. Over the next 10 years we had ups and downs and just totally backwards adventures. We did long distance, we had breaks, we had break ups, but we always had love. October 5, 2018. Austin City Limits, day one. Our favorite city, doing our favorite festival. I knew something was up for a while and was just waiting for the moment to actually happen. Paul McCartney was headlining so I figured it’d probably happen then. HA, I was wrong.

We walk in and go to the rocks with the ‘acl fest’ sign and set up a lil camp and he goes and gets me some foodz because, hunger. When he comes back I tell him I want to get away from the teenagers because they wild, and bam. The moment happened. He proposed to me in front of that little sign, some guy walking by snapped some pics out of pure luck, and we were engaged. Sweet, simple and to the point. Evan is more than a husband, he’s my partner in crime, my best friend and my closest confidant. I couldn’t be happier or luckier to have a person like him as my forever. And in case you’re wondering, he was not the Evan who asked about me, wrong Evan but right guy. -P ”
