East Austin Engagement Session – Emily and Juan
We photographed this wonderful East Austin Engagement Session a few weeks ago and are thrilled to share this set. Emily and Juan were in town from New Jersey to plan out their Austin wedding for next year. We grabbed a drink and roamed East 6th street and then went to a local park that Bradley and I love to hike and run every week. Emily and Juan wanted a laid back session that would resemble their relationship together. They used to work together but it wasn’t until a mutual friend re-introduced them years later and they began dating. Emily and Juan love to spend their time drinking cocktails and heading out to their favorite local restaurants or cooking in for the evening. Below is what they told us about their proposal story.
Emily told us, “While traveling to Houston for the holidays this past winter, Juan surprised me one night with a simple question: “What do you think about being my wife?” Without any hesitation I said yes. He immediately said “oops I actually had a plan, so I am going to ask you again tomorrow”… The next day, while walking around the James Turrell exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, he got down on one knee and asked again. Of course my answer was still yes!”
One of our favorite things to hear from our couples is their proposal story. It always clues us in on their interest and dynamic and we love that their proposal took place at a Fine Art Museum. Bradley and I love museums so much that we went to Chicago for our honeymoon. It was absolutely amazing! We’re thrilled to share this fun session.
Bradley and I love working together and we love seeing our different perspectives from each session.
