Mandy and Tyler wanted an in home engagement session here in Austin. Tyler is about to start a three year term at school and they were slowly moving into their new apartment. A romantic session of them two in their space before the start of their new journey was perfect for them. We hung out, put on a playlist, and just photographed them two interacting together. They get married in September and we’re really looking forward to celebrating with them again.

Tyler and Mandy both swiped right on Tinder and set up a coffee date at Radio Coffee & Beer. It was a rainy day and Mandy almost cancelled but luckily she didn’t! They stayed there talking until midnight when they were getting kicked out at closing. The rest is history and leads us to their proposal story. Mandy and Tyler like going on hikes with their dog Mulligan. Tyler recommended they go on a hike one day because the weather was nice. Mandy asked him if he was going hiking in this button down shirt and jorts cause he looked uncomfortable. He said, “yes okay?! It’s fine!” Apparently the ring had been hiding in those shorts for weeks  and he didn’t want her to figure it out. During the hike Mandy wanted to head back to the car cause she was getting tired and Tyler suggested they sit on a rock. She thought, this is it!! But no, they really did just sit on that rock and rest while giving their dog water. They now started to head to the car and Tyler took her hand and began telling her how much he loves her. He asked her to marry her while she cried. It was perfect. Just them three in the middle of the trail.
