This Intimate Casa Cartel Wedding in Austin was made of dreams! Cass and Nate have such vibrant personalities and we immediately hit it off as friends when we met them. Due to covid, they wanted a way to celebrate their wedding that felt safe for their family and friends. Getting married at Casa Cartel was perfect with its intimate and insanely gorgeous aesthetic. We photographed their engagement session last year and based on their personalities we couldn’t wait to meet their family and friends.
Cassidy and Nate met three and a half years ago at a mutual friend’s birthday in Cabo. Hurricane Harvey hit while they were there so they were left stranded together at the rental home. Cassidy said Nate was ironing his shirt before going out with a group of friends while there and that was a stand-out attraction for her. For Nate, he said it was her smile and how she can truly light up a room. Their love and admiration of each other are so visible in their presence and through these images.
On the day of the wedding, we documented them getting ready and spending some time reading letters from each other. Their California seating arrangement for their outdoor ceremony was perfect around Casa Cartel’s pool. I mean, how does it get better getting married standing on a platform like this?! Cass and Nate spent their day enjoying a private moment together after the ceremony, talking with their family and friends in a laid-back atmosphere, and focusing on the intimate aspects of what their wedding celebration was all about.
Their wedding was one we will always remember. Maybe because we call them friends now, but also because it was magical in every way. Casa Cartel is now one of our favorite Austin wedding venues too! Scroll to check out their celebration.
