The Milestone Aubrey Winter Wedding – Cortland and Charlie

Cortland and Charlie’s wedding at the Milestone in Aubrey was absolutely wonderful. Their winter wedding was cozy inside with the overcast winter light pouring in. When we first met these two we fell in love. They have a love that radiates from each other and a connection that is so beautiful to see. We photographed their engagement session off the lake in Plano and had a blast running around and hanging out with them. Two weeks before the wedding we also photographed Cortland’s bridal session at the Darkroom in Fort Worth. Needless to say we were so ready to celebrate with them on their wedding day. We love when our couples book sessions with us before the wedding day so we can connect and work together beforehand.

When we showed up at the Milestone we photographed everyone getting ready and prepping for the day. As Cortland’s mother was putting on her dress, Cortland began to cry. Sometimes it just hits you, you are getting married! Shortly after Cortland read her letter from Charlie her mother began telling us a story about how Charlie asked them to marry Cortland. She began crying and it was beautiful to see those joyous tears. It was just us and Monica from the video team in the room and it reminded me about how much we love getting to photograph these beautiful moments at weddings. Once everyone was ready for the day we took some group photos and prepared for the ceremony. Their ceremony was at sunset with intimate lighting and beautiful candles making it oh so romantic. Regardless of the fact it was about 35 degrees outside we took some quick portraits outside to get the last bit of light in the blue hour. Cortland asked us if it was okay if they could run through the front yard and we all said DUH! Just a reminder real quick to have fun on your wedding and be you!

Throughout the evening there were heartfelt toasts, hilarious bouquet and garter tosses, and some pretty sick dance moves. We’re thrilled to share their beautiful celebration.
