Jasmine and Francheska’s engagement session at Hotel Van Zandt in Downtown Austin was perfect. They originally reached out to us wanting a rooftop engagement but due to Covid and construction, we couldn’t access some spaces. Of course, Hotel Van Zandt always comes to mind since the style and variety this space offers are unparalleled. If you are looking for an incredible place to stay, celebrate some milestone, or have a wedding this space is the jam.
Here is a bit about how Jasmine and Francheska met as well as their proposal story.
Jasmine went to a bar in Dallas back in 2013 to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The bar Sue Ellens was Francheska’s stopping ground so she was out with friends as usual. Jasmine kept telling her friends how cute she thought Francheska was. This girl Lindsey she met that night overheard her so she went over to Fran and told her, then Fran called her over and she said she was shook Jasmine was so nervous and went over to talk with her. After that, they texted and talked briefly until they started visiting each other and made it official the following February!
“Fran was acting so weird all day and was so quiet at dinner (usually she talks my ear off). I should have figured something was up but I didn’t. We had a very intimate dinner, literally, no one was in the restaurant. I honestly thought Fran rented the place out. They take pictures of couples around the resort so I just assumed it was our turn, but little did I know she had something so special planned. At the end of the dinner, they brought out a dessert plate that said “will you marry me?” I read it like 4 or 5 times because I could not believe it. Fran got on one knee and I overwhelmingly felt like the luckiest woman in the world. I was so surprised and cried like a baby which is crazy because I find out EVERYTHING, hate surprises, and NEVER cry. It was absolutely perfect.”
