Fun Downtown Austin Courthouse Elopement – Jalisa + Demetrius

We had a blast photographing D & J’s fun downtown Austin Courthouse Elopement! Jalisa and Demetrius are both so kind, thoughtful and have such vibrant personalities. They wanted to focus on having fun during their elopement so we wandered around and did a lot! They met at a food truck in Wilmington, DE January 2018. We asked them what three things were that attracted them to each other. For Jalisa, it was his authenticity, charm, and how sweet he was. For Demetrius, it was her sweetness, smile, and eyes. We agree!! Since they love to have fun together, their proposal made total sense. Demetrius proposed at the Circuit of the Americas go-karting race track. It was a surprise and pretty spontaneous on his part as well!

Their Courthouse Elopement began in the afternoon with the kindest judge who seemed just as happy as they were. They shared their heartfelt vows with the biggest smiles and giddy energy. Once it was official we stepped outside to photograph their portraits. Our goal was to capture them around downtown to provide a fun adventure for them with the city of Austin all around. Austin has great photo ops anywhere you look so it wasn’t an issue at all for us. Since their style was spot on and their energy was pure and celebratory we had so much fun photographing these memories for them.

Since Jalisa and Demetrius met at a food truck, we captured some photos with them hanging out in the shade at a nearby coffee truck “Malone Specialty Coffee“. This was after Demetrius purchased a bottle of champagne at The Line Hotel to pop on the bridge overlooking the Colorado River. Besides the portraits we captured, they skipped and ran across the crosswalks for some fun which created the BEST photos. We really adore these two and loved photographing this chapter in their lives!
