Beth and Joe had their intimate elopement at the LBJ Wildflower Center in Austin. This venue was the perfect setting for their celebration. Due to covid, their families and friends joined the ceremony through live streaming. They came to town for a couple of days and planned a few festivities together. This intimate elopement held place in the afternoon so they had a full evening together to celebrate in Austin. When Beth and Joe arrived we started with a first look and then they walked together down to the stone arch for their ceremony. Once their ceremony was over we did a cake cutting and toast with everyone on the video call. After all the lovely celebratory moments we walked around LBJ Wildflower Center for some couples portraits. This day started sunny and became cloudy and drizzly which made the photos a bit more moody and dramatic.
These two really made the most of their time visiting Austin and celebrating their intimate elopement together. We truly loved photographing these two and getting to know them! Elopements even outside of covid are a great way to celebrate getting married. You can focus on each other, plan out an entire day or weekend together doing exactly what you want without planning things for a bunch of other people. You can also elope and have a reception later down the road as well which is often what couples do. It’s a great way to have a day to just yourselves and still have the celebration and party with those you love. No matter the way you choose, keep it special and authentic to you as a couple!
