Savannah and Zoe celebrated their wedding here in Austin, TX. Their Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center LGBTQ+ Wedding was everything they dreamed of! They got ready together with their wedding party, had a badass outfit change during the reception, and even had a custom day of painting created of them. Celebrating your wedding to best represent you is key and this day was just that. LBJ Wildflower Center is one of our favorite venues to photograph in. Not only do you have access to insanely gorgeous grounds, your wedding guests have plenty of room to mingle and party. So if spending time outdoors is meaningful to you for your wedding, this venue is it!
When they met in the theatre department in college, Savannah was a senior and Zoe was a freshman who thought Sav was so cool. (obviously, she still does!) They ended up being cast together in a show during the spring and spent a lot of time learning lines together. Their practices were really them talking and laughing together. After texting during the summer and falling in love through this, they finally confessed their feelings by the fall and started dating.
Fast forward to their proposal in NYC during a surprise trip Savannah took them on. In front of the Bethesda Fountain as they walked through Central Park, Savannah proposed! Zoe had no idea this would be happening as she thought she’d be the one to propose. She said, “YES!” after a shocked, “Really?!” A bunch of friends and family jumped out from behind columns and trees and surprised her even more! Her face hurt after smiling the rest of the day with everyone celebrating. A few months later, Zoe counter-proposed at a swank french restaurant downtown followed by a fancy rooftop bar and hotel stay. They said it was awesome and intimate but they have no photos which is completely okay! Having chosen moments to be present and enjoy together is so important.
If their story doesn’t make you feel love to the max we don’t know what will. Their LBJ Wildflower Center wedding was filled with joy once again, with their closest friends and family. You can feel the love and support on wedding days that shows up as energy where for us, is completely motivating to capture. We adore these two and feel honored to have captured their special wedding day!
